Our hands-on, inquiry-based science curriculum engages children's natural curiosity about the world around them. Community's campus—with science labs, a pond, woods, fields, gardens, and a Treehouse classroom—is a boundless workshop for scientific exploration. Teachers encourage students to observe and investigate, digging deeper for the "why" and the "how."
Science education formally begins in first grade, with STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math) curriculum woven into most units. In earlier grades, science is naturally woven into the curriculum as students explore their environments.
