Fourth Grade

Fourth grade is the year for making connections and expanding students' thinking from the concrete to the abstract. Students understand and apply the connections from one subject to another and between their individual lives and the complexities of the world.Students enjoy a variety of subjects in the homeroom as well as special classes. The curriculum is integrated, and instruction is differentiated. Students can relate one subject to another and learn effectively, regardless of differences in ability. 

Students learn through multiple avenues: teacher-directed lessons, repeated practice, use of manipulative materials, partner and cooperative learning projects, independent research, and activities addressing various learning styles.
