Mindfulness, through brain research, has been proven to be beneficial for relaxation, stress reduction, improving emotional intelligence (reading and regulating your own emotions feelings, as well as those of others), focused attention, empathy, and increased happiness. And these skills can be taught and improved through mindfulness.
