Community School seeks an experienced and caring counselor to work with students, parents, and faculty as it fulfills its mission to nurture the mind, body and spirit. Founded in 1914, Community School is one of the premier independent schools in Saint Louis. Known for its deeply personal and engaged approach to learning, the school enrolls approximately 350 students from age 3 through Sixth Grade.
The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience working in a school setting or with school-age children, and hold an advanced degree in Counseling, School Counseling or Social Work. A strong knowledge in the areas of child development and the social/emotional needs of children is essential. Candidates should have an interest in working with early childhood through sixth grade children, their parents, and teachers. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate strong interpersonal and organizational abilities, and an ability to effectively communicate through public speaking and in writing. Although this position is initially part-time, there may be an opportunity to expand to full time at a later date.

Community School is a highly regarded independent school in Ladue known for its innovative and enriched curriculum. Community School provides a full day educational program for children age 3 through Grade 6. Co-teachers share in planning and delivering curriculum content in each grade level classroom. Creativity, flexibility, and a love for working with children are desired qualities. A college degree in education or a related field is required.

Community School is seeking individuals to supervise children (nursery through sixth grade) during an after-school program.
Qualities desired include creativity, flexibility, resourcefulness, enthusiasm for hands-on activities, and the ability to relate to young children and their parents.
The hours are from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. On Thursday, the hours are 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Additional hours available during holiday breaks and other days when school is not in session but extended care is offered.
The term of employment is for the 2017-2018 school year. Employment will begin mid-August 2017.
