Centenary. Vacuous. Omnipotent.

These words and more spring to life in linguistics class, as students use the words they study in original songs, skits, commercials, and charades. Using this hands-on, interactive approach ensures that learning new words doesn’t consist of looking at a list in a book, but finding real-world contextual applications for them.

Just for sixth graders, linguistics class is specifically designed to enhance the regular language arts program. The students study language, along with verbal and nonverbal communication. Vocabulary is core to the program, but taught through realistic applications. Latin and Greek roots have never been so much fun!
